I am the type of cook who like to cook recipes that are easy to cook and light on the budget. So this first recipe for my 15 Minute Recipe series, is something that is made out of ingredients that are readily available in my fridge. As of this writing, I have corn and beef inside the fridge, so I made up something out of it and here it is: Stir Fried Beef and Corn.
Ingredients:
Kernels of 1 cob of sweet corn
1 onion, julienne
2 cloves of garlic , minced
1/4 kg of sirloin beef (cut into 1/4 inch cubes.)
1 tsp Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp canola oil (or regular cooking oil will do)
2 tbsp water.
a pinch of salt (optional)
Procedure:
1. Mix together the Worcestershire Sauce, soy sauce and beef together, set aside.
2. In a skillet, saute the beef cubes in canola oil, when the beef is brown and cooked thoroughly, set aside.
3. Heat the butter, and use it to saute garlic and onion, add the beef, then add the corn, then add water. Let it simmer for 2 minutes and you're done. Add a pinch of salt for a salty taste.
